Country Peony Top Ten Blog Posts of 2019

Happy New Year!

First off, let me start this post by expressing how grateful I am for you being here. This blog has made me so happy for the last (almost) 7 years, and it still brings me so much joy! It is because of you that I continue it. So thank you!

2019 was a year full of firsts. I had my first collaborations with some wonderful companies, I started on video content for the blog (more to come in 2020), and I featured more of my home. I am so inspired to hit the ground running on more house projects, great collaborations, and fun craft projects in 2020. I also plan to share more behind-the-scenes on Instagram and Facebook, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, please take a look at some of your favorite blog posts from 2019 projects. Honestly, some of them surprised me.

At number 10, the Flower Tile Coaster was the first project of 2019, and it was my first video post. I had so much fun making this coaster, and I think it turned out so cute!

At Number 9, one of my favorite places to seek out inspiration is the dollar store (you get creative when you live in the country), and look for unique items that I can use in projects. Case in point, the DIY Speckled Egg Dollar Store Wreath. This cute wreath proves that if you have your eyes and mind open, you can create something cute and fun for your home on a very tight budget.

As an event planner, I have so much fun planning and decorating for parties. When it is a joint party for my two oldest children, I really want to make it personal and so much fun. Number 8 is the circus themed birthday party that we threw for our oldest son, and daughter. It was so fun to put together, and I hope it inspires you with your next parties.

Number 7 is one of my favorite projects from 2019. I honestly had a hard time putting this tree away in Christmas storage. I also loved working with such a great company, Clover, to help make it. Now that I have discovered Clover’s wonderful pom-pom maker, I know there are many more pom-pom projects in my future. This is a DIY I will cherish for my Christmases to come!

Number 6 is another one of my favorite projects from 2019. The felt balls were so fun to work with, and I love how it turned out. I think it would make a great gift for a friend, or for you to enjoy! I smile everyday when I use mine, honestly.

At number 5, I feel very lucky to cook and play in this kitchen everyday. It houses a lot of our thrifted and Round Top finds. It is a beautiful mix of vintage and farmhouse design, and that makes me very happy. I am glad you like it as well!

Coming in at Number 4 is our beautiful master bathroom. As a mother to three young children this room restores my mind and heart as I relax in the bath every night. The vintage touches match the farmhouse feel, and it makes me very happy!

A fun, kid-frendly DIY comes in at Number 3. My children made these adorable keychains for me for Mother’s Day, and I still cherish mine. This technique can be applied to other times of the year as well. We made keychains to adorn my children’s backpacks at the beginning of the year, and we made homemade ornaments for their teachers for Christmas. Such a fun crafternoon project with your children!

Number 2 is a fun and pretty DIY that I have wanted to try for a while. In preparation for our pumpkin carving party, I decided to make a pumpkin floral centerpiece to adorn the food table. I am not a floral designer, but this was so easy to make that I decided to show you how to make one too. I hope it inspires you to create centerpieces in unconventional vessels!

I was a little surprised that my DIY Pressed Flower Terra Cotta Pot took the top spot, but that also makes so me happy! They are extra special to me because my children picked the flowers for them. I also found a new way to love terra cotta with the paint technique I used to age them on this DIY.

That is a wrap on 2019! Thanks again for following along. Please feel free to reach out about any projects you want to see in 2020. And, I always love seeing your creations!

Cheers to a wonderful year!
