I love how this tree turned out, and I hope that it inspires you to have a little fun with your decorations this Easter and year round! Easter Christmas Tree Details

At the core of this whimsical tree are the flocked Easter bunnies, each one a charming reminder of the playful spirit of the season. Sourced from Wal Mart, these adorable additions infuse the tree with a sense of whimsy!

Colorful crepe paper Easter eggs’ vibrant hues and texture create a lot of joy and a handmade quality to the tree.

The velvet bows and flowers add layers of charm and playfulness. These delicate touches bring a sense of nostalgia, evoking memories of childhood Easter celebrations and joyful family gatherings.

And let's not forget the disco balls, those sparkling orbs of magic that twinkle like stars against the backdrop of pink branches. Their shimmering presence adds a touch of glamour and whimsy, transforming the tree into a spectacle of light and color.

Tips for decorating a holiday tree

This tree and the decoration process for it has brought me so much joy! I wanted to highlight some tips that I learned along the way:

  • Add the unexpected. Bunnies and tulips are an unusual decoration for a tree, but they are the perfect addition because they are cheerful and so reminiscent of Easter and Spring. I love these faux tulips that are so very lifelike.

  • Forgo perfection and have fun with it! Enjoy the process.

  • When in doubt, walk away and come back to the project with a clearer mind.

  • Play with different textures. I love how the flocked bunnies, shiny disco balls, crepe paper eggs, velvet bows, linen bows, and faux florals all play together.

The first step was to remove the conversation hearts from the Valentine’s Day Tree . I kept the bauble garland, tinsel garland, velvet ribbons, and some ornaments from the Christmas tree. Then, I added flocked bunnies (by tying wire around their neck but behind the ribbon), crepe paper egg garland, crepe paper eggs, and faux florals throughout the tree. *I purchased the bunnies, crepe paper eggs, and crepe paper egg garland from Wal Mart, but they aren’t available anymore.

For the roses, I removed the stem by pulling it away from the flower. Then, I nestled the flowers onto the tree without any wires.

Then, I added the more unexpected, Spring-like florals like ranunculus, and tulips. *Leave the stems on these flowers and let them stick out of the tree a little so that they create more dimension and interest.

I recommend grouping the flowers together for a higher impact.

Lastly, I added more bows to the tree to elevate the feminine details. The tree already had yellow and pink velvet bows from Valentine’s Day.

I love adding bows to Christmas trees because they are high impact at a low cost.

Thank you so much for following along. As Easter approaches, I invite you to embrace the joy of the season and discover the magic in your own decorations and the decorating process. I hope you enjoy decorating your home and space in a way that brings you joy! Join me in embracing whimsy, spreading joy, and finding inspiration in the little things that make life truly magical.
